Indonesia was again partner country at the 2023 HANNOVER MESSE. On this occasion, the APA, together with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry KADIN, held the Indonesian-German Business Summit at the Indonesian pavilion. The summit was jointly opened by APA Chairman Dr. Roland Busch and KADIN Chairman M. Arsjad Rasjid P.M. Statements of Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the Indonesian President Joko Widodo followed. In a subsequent discussion, the President of Astra International, Prijono Sugiarto, the Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE, Dr. Martin Brudermüller, and the Executive Director of the German-Indonesian Chamber of Industry and Commerce EKONID, Jan Rönnfeld, debated about economic recovery through industrialization, digitalization, energy transition and the opportunities this provides for companies from both countries.
